The first entrepreneur I knew was my father. As the proud owner of a water well-drilling business, Dad worked long hours to provide for his family. But it wasn’t until I started working in his office as a teenager that I learned the truth that would define my life’s work: most small business owners are drowning in mismanaged finances. Like many other entrepreneurs, Dad was too busy keeping clients happy to keep up with the unpaid invoices and overlooked expenditures determining the success or failure of his business. In his office, I identified my calling to build a powerful, accessible, behind-the-scenes financial support system for small business owners like him - one that would remove the burden of financial busywork and empower them with knowledge, confidence, and impeccably organized numbers. In 2012, I founded TurboExecs. My team and I work alongside $2M+ small businesses to untangle and take charge of their finances. From the beginning, I’ve ensured TurboExecs stands out as a distinctly human presence in the often impersonal world of spreadsheets and bottom lines. The financial reports we provide clients are visually compelling, colorful, and easy to understand, and the one-on-one service is welcoming, collaborative, and approachable. I’ve had the honor of appearing on numerous financial podcasts to talk about our transformational approach, including Diane Dayton’s show Behind the Lines - Inspiring Women, in recognition of my work creating equity and access to financial expertise for emerging small businesses (pg3). In 2023, I was recognized as one of Lancaster, PA’s Inspiring Women for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (pg3). Since 2012, TurboExecs and I have helped 71 clients across industries meet their growth and exit goals. Success, for me, is defined by the possibilities we open up for our clients - when we work together to take their business somewhere, they didn’t think was possible. One of the biggest guiding principles I’ve instilled in my business is Alignment = Velocity. When I align clients with our guiding principles of integrity, clear communication, bold innovation, and a willingness to be playful, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
